Hanoi is insane!!! You know in Canada how most people honk to get someone to pay more attention while driving or something. Well, in Hanoi, imagine-no specific lanes to drive in, non-stop honking and motorcycles have the right-of-way. People say ” Look them in the eye, then they will stop.” All I can say is YEAH RIGHT! They don’t even see you! So, now that you’ve heard the insane part of Hanoi, odly enough, there is a great and magnificent side too. That’s would be why I am not TOTALLY insane right now. There is Ha Long Bay were you can relax with no care in the world ontop of a beautiful boat enjoying the mountain scenery. I would definitly recommend it. We booked with our hotel, Nam Hai 1. There are 3 in Hanoi. This one is 1 and a half years old and the bathrooms (the most IMPORTANT part) are very clean. They even have a jacuzzi in some of them! The hotel employees are very nice and they care too. We got the number 6 boat out of 200 from booking with them. Our boat in Ha Long Bay was NUMBER 6!!!! With excellent food and a nice crew too.
Another great thing about Hanoi is Sapa. Sapa is a village turned into a town almost like Mont Trembant without the snow. Little restarants and cafes and little shops too. I will have to finish this later. I am just getting settled into our room. It has free internet inside the room, non wi-fi!
