Hoi An
We are in Hoi An right now but today we are leaving for Ho Chi Minh City or as the South of Vietnam calls it Saigon. We have to leave at 11:15am and the train leaves at 1:15 and it arrives at 6:30 am. I hope our train compartment is as nice as our compartment to Lao Cai. It was really clean but didn’t have much room. The sheets looked pretty clean but we still slept in our silk sleeping bags.
Anyway, Hoi An is flooding but it isn’t nearly as bad as last month where it was 2 metres high. We rode our bikes through it all but some people weren’t as lucky.They didn’t have bikes so they got their pants and shoes wet and everything.
My birthday here was very nice. Our hotel gave me flowers and they took out my passport to see how to spell my name. They wrote Alannah Maryse. I still have them but I will have to leave them here because I don’t have any more room for them in my pack ofcourse.
I gotta go shower because we are leaving soon. It is 8:30 but we need to eat and get dressed and stuff.
