Ranch, Gauchos, Empanadas and Horses
A few weeks ago, we went to a Ranch in Argetina about 2 or 3 hours away from the capitol, Buenos Aires. Once we arrived, we were giving freshly made beef empanadas ( A small cresent shaped meat pie). The people who live at the Ranches are called Gauchos or cowboys. They ride horses, eat beef, sing and dance. At the ranch, you could ride horses listen to music and explore the Ranch. I loved riding the horses. I would do it again and again if I could here in Buenos Aires.
Later on, after the lunch of beef and home-made chips, we watched a local “Gaucho” game.
There are about 5 gauchos on horses and a small ring about a centimetre in diametre. The gauchos go at full speed galop on their horses and try to get a stick through that ring!! Most of them get it in too!! At the end, the gauchos give the rings to girls. I got one. And when i get back I can show you or I can take a picture and post it! The Ranch was really fun!!
